This month: We debut a new section of the website - Resources,
an online store for Center Art Studio's recommended books and
products for restoration and preservation. We premiere Resources with three indispensable cleaning and restorative products: Renaissance
Wax, Staples Wax and Nevr-Dull wadding polish plus a collection
of books covering the restoration of furniture, pottery and paintings
and works on paper.

Restoration includes the cleaning, repair and protection of decorative
objects, a very broad field that ranges from the touch-up of a
portrait miniature to the conservation of a suite of 18th century
furniture. |

Many objects need help before they can be enjoyed. Sculpture needs
pedestals, paintings need frames, fragile pieces need covers,
lighted cabinets need to be built. At Center Art Studio, we design
and build frames, bases and covers, and supervise the installation
of cabinetry and lighting as needed. |

and execute the design you choose, proceeding from our ideas or
yours. |

Our affiliate, Columbine Antiques and Decoration, offers interior
design under the direction of Iliana Engelke Moore. For assistance
in upholstery, window treatments and furnishing or for a full
decorative scheme, Columbine is stylish and efficient. Columbine
uses the services of a wide range of vendors and contractors as
well as the help of Center Art Studio where appropriate. |
